The insulation effect of "rock wool" is demonstrated by the fact that over 95% of its volume is occupied by air, which is divided into fine voids by fibers, making it difficult for the air to move. As the temperature of the air in the rock wool rises, it becomes more active, leading to a decrease in insulation performance with the increase in ambient temperature. However, the higher the density, meaning the greater the number of fibers per unit volume, the more resistance to air flow increases, preventing a decline in insulation performance. "Roxceram" excels in fire resistance and can be used as insulation material even in high-temperature areas of around 400°C, making it widely utilized under harsh conditions such as in plant equipment.
